If you are not Making Money Online, it's because people can't find you, or you don't have what they want. I'm assuming you know there is a market for what you're offering, but people can't find you online. So I'm going to talk about what you should be doing to get on page one of the search engine sites. In addition to covering some of the basics, I'm going to tell you about a free tool that will help to make the process easier.

You may or may not know that you can generate traffic to your blog or web site (or other Web 2.0 stuff) by book marking your content. Some bookmarking locations can create incoming links for you. Or, you can generate traffic from within the bookmarking community itself. If you don't know what bookmarking is, I'll be giving you more information about it.

One big component of Internet Marketing is Search Engine Optimization (SEO), which is basically optimizing your website to rank high in natural search engine results with both on-site and off-site techniques. Higher ranking means more people will find you, and the more that go to your content, the more money you'll make in the long run.

When I speak of on-site techniques, I refer to the use of keywords, and key phrases in your website or article. You do not necessary want to select keywords or phrases that have high search results, because they are highly competitive, and could be difficult to get yourself on page one of the search engines. Off-Site techniques starts with Social Bookmarking, which can be a powerful way to create incoming links to your Internet Marketing content, which improves your rankings and visibility on search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN and others Also, bookmarking your content at social bookmarking sites can increase visibility from the other visitors who searched for information at those social bookmarking sites. When selecting Bookmarking sites use Dofollow sites to bookmark you online content, since they are the only ones picked up by search engines. If you use Social Marker to bookmark yours online content, you'll find a list of Dofollow bookmarking sites. It is okay to also use Nofollow sites for yours, and other online content, as long as you use Dofollow for yours also.

There is another way to get Dofollow back links to your web content. It starts with finding websites and online content of relevant information to your keywords. It is easy to use. Type in your keywords, select Dofollow only, and you'll get a list of related sites. Click on the site, read the content, leave a comment with a link to your website or content. Very simple, and will give you another backlink.

Don't promote your website or content in your comments, otherwise you'll be taken as a scammer.
