Wonderful World of Online Marketing

In the crazy world of the Internet, resides the potential for vast incomes and eventually financial freedom. To reap the rewards of this gold mine, is the dream of many men and women. Think about it, to be able to spend time with your friends and family, not to have your time dictated to you and to go on holidays when YOU want to, not when you are TOLD to. Wonderful isn't it? That opportunity is out there, but it takes hard work and dedication. No get rich quick schemes here. When you decide to tackle this adventure, be prepared for an information overload from all the articles, e-books and DVD's you will be reading and watching. All this is necessary for you to build your foundations for your future profits. It will be worth it in the end. In this article, and future articles I will try and help you in your first steps into the exciting world of online marketing.

The most recommended way is by far Google Adwords. There are thousands if not millions of articles, e-books, etc. offering valuable advice on how to make a fortune. Though the principles all generally remain the same. You start by joining an affiliate program such as Clickbank, it is free and simple to use. All you do is enter your details, and once you accept the user agreement and confirm via email, you are set. You then visit Clickbanks market place, where you can search through many products that vendors are selling. Once you have found a product that you would like to promote, you create your personal "hoplink" and save it. This will be used when you create your ad in Google.

There are many PPC (Pay per Click) organisations out there, but for now I am going to explain a little about Google Adwords. Google Adwords allows you to create an Ad and display it on the web whenever a user searches for your particular keyword. When said user clicks on your ad, and goes to the link mentioned above, you pay Google and the user is taken to your website, where he/she peruses your site and then decides to by the product you are promoting. And bam, you get commission for the sale! Easy, right? Well … unfortunately it does not always work that way. When you start your campaign with Google Adwords, it involves a lot of keyword, competitor and market research. It takes some time to gather the information and setup your bids. Once you have done all that, you have to keep an eye on the performance of your ad, make sure you are not wasting money, because there is no point you pay Google more than you make with your profits is there? It really is a numbers game, and when you can start attracting the big numbers, then the big profits will soon come your way.
