I recently found myself in need of a little extra cash. I have just had a baby (now 2 months old), and thought I would search the internet for an easy way to make a little cash to help us get by. The old 'work from home so I can take care of my child' theme. I never realized things were so expensive when you had a baby! Or that I would be buying things almost on a daily basis, so the money would definitely have come in handy. I started searching about a month ago and came across many, many, many sites promising me hundreds and hundreds of dollars a day - many of them through paid survey sites. Being very naive I invested a couple hundred dollars in total to 2 sites, thinking that if I did a couple surveys a day, then I could easily make a few hundred dollars by the end of the month.
Well on the first site I joined over 90 survey sites, and I have not had one single invitation to complete a survey, I get lots of emails though - wanting me to join up with other survey sites as well. I have also noticed that some of the emails I get are from sources I don't even know - trying to sell me stuff I don't want. The second site I joined over 120 survey's, and all I get from them is the same as above, only I do get some surveys - offering me $2.00 to complete a survey that will take 25 minutes. Really!!! Why would I even bother with that? After all, the ad when I joined stated I could be earning up to $300.00 for a survey. I am just very glad that I had set up a new email address, so at east my personal inbox isn't flooded with this garbage.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that this goes on, but it's really unfair for people who are struggling, to get ripped off in this way - its a couple hundred dollars I could well have spent on something more worth while. My advice to anyone thinking of going down this road is to avoid it all together - you just don't know what kind of scammers are out there, especially when your hard earned cash is involved. They also never answer your emails if you have questions which is very frustrating - but then why would they answer - they're just scammers, and once they have your money, they're not to be seen again. They are only making their wallets fat from the scam. Don't be fooled - online survey work is a scam
Any way I have definitely learnt my lesson from the paid survey site experience, there is no way to make money off of them, and they're lying if they say you can. I am lucky that when I was searching for these sites I came across something that, once again, I thought I could make a little money off of, where you input data into forms. Sounded easy enough - so I joined, another $50, call me crazy - but I had to try it! I couldn't believe it - in the first 2 weeks I had joined I made my couple hundred dollars back that I had wasted on the other sites.

By no means am I endorsing this kind of work, but there is at least one site out there doing the right thing, at least with this site I made some money - and who knows it may turn into something really big. However I will never ever, ever get sucked in to paying for a survey site again - they deliver nothing but embarrassment on my part for believing they actually work.
I learnt my lesson the hard way, as I'm sure many others have, so if I have managed to save one person from giving their hard earned money to these sites by writing this article, then my experience was worth it. Don't do it - they don't work - that I can promise you!!!!!
